Between May 1995 and December 1996 Grotnes delivered parts for one of Europe’s longest suspension bridges, the Höga Kusten Bridge on the new E4 in Sweden. Product development, cutting, welding, machining and surface treatment were key elements of the project.
On assignment from Hydramarine, Grotnes manufactured winch drums in 700-steel for deep-sea cranes. The cranes will be installed on supply vessels, with the actual drums positioned below deck.
